  • Present: Scientist, Plant Pathologist, CABI Bioscience (Ascot) UK Centre. Identifying and developing fungal biocontrol agents (mycoparasites and endophytes) for Moniliophthora roreri (frosty pod) and Crinipellis perniciosa (witches broom) in Theobroma cacao
  • 1998-1999: Plant Pathologist/Biochemist, Fungal and Bacterial Plant Pathology Department, Scottish Crop Research Institute, Dundee. Development of elicitor applications in integrated crop management. Investigation of the use of biopolymer derived molecules for the elicitation of induced resistance in crops (Barley, Tomato, Lettuce and Cucumber) to commercially important diseases (Blumeria graminis, Botrytis cinerea and Sphaerotheca fuliginea).  
  • 1993-1997: Research Assistant, Department of Biological Sciences, Manchester Metropolitan University. Part-time Phd, undergraduate teaching and assisting on collaborative research project between the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and Manchester Metropolitan University on the biocontrol of wood decay fungi.  
  • 1989-1993 Senior Biochemist, Willink Biochemical Genetics Unit, Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital, Manchester. Pre and post-natal diagnosis of inherited metabolic diseases.
